Maybe Days
“Maybe” is a word that children in foster care hear a lot, maybe they'll go home soon, maybe they’ll stay with their foster family, maybe things will change. Maybe Days offers clear, compassionate language to help children make sense of the questions and feelings that come with foster care.
Grounded in realism and empathy, this book explains key ideas, like who social workers are and what foster families do, while also validating the emotions children may be experiencing such as confusion, hope, anger, fear and love. It doesn’t promise easy answers but it does offer reassurance that whatever happens, their feelings matter.
