Subscriptions

How do the subscriptions work?

Once you subscribe, your child will receive a beautifully curated book box every month — designed to build a love of reading and spark meaningful connection.

You’ll enter a few personalisation details at checkout, and we’ll take it from there! The first box is extra special and gift-wrapped; future boxes include a new book and our exclusive Big Heart Press newspaper.

When will the first book be sent?

Your first book box will be sent within 48 hours of purchase.

From then on, new boxes are dispatched between 20th - 25th each month, typically arriving within 2 working days of dispatch.

Will the parcel fit through the letterbox?

Most of our books fit through a standard letterbox. Some hardbacks and larger picture books may not, in which case your local post office will leave in a safe place or a delivery note, based on your household preference.

Do you ship internationally?

We don't currently ship internationally but we will explore this in the near future.

Can I get the first book sent early?

Due to volume, we can’t rush individual orders but we can email you a printable gift certificate right away, perfect for tucking into a card.

Book Selection

How are the books chosen?

We offer a fully curated experience. All books are hand-selected by Dr. Kim, our literature specialist and loving grandparent based on your child’s age and the personalisation details you provide at checkout (age, interests, etc.).

We also involve our trusted team of young readers to ensure every book is child-approved!

Will I know what books you’re sending?

We aim to surprise and delight! However, you can opt into or WhatsApp communications channel to get a notification of this months book choice. To join our WhatsApp simply save this number as Big Heart Book Club in your phone: 07710 784519 and WhatsApp the message: JOIN

What if I receive a book I already own?

We do our best to send unique and engaging titles, but if you happen to receive a duplicate, just let us know and we’ll gladly send you a replacement with your next delivery.

I don’t know what my gift recipient likes — help!

No problem! We make our selections really accessible based on their age so as long as you choose the right age category we are sure they will enjoy our selection. Once set up, you can ask the recipient’s parent or guardian to share personalisation details.
